The Kimble County 4-H Wool Judging Team members were named National Champions at the National 4-H Wool Judging contest held in Sonora on June 21. This followed one week after placing second at the 2018 State 4-H Roundup in College Station.
Team members include Braydon Robertson, Cole Levien, Quentin Schulze and Caleb Kott. They were coached by Russell Kott. Individual honors were: Robertson, High Individual; Kott, Second High Individual; Schulze, Third High Individual and Levien, Fourth High Individual.
This is only the second time since the inception of the National Wool Contest that the Big Championship Trophy has found a home in Kimble County. (In 2005, Colt Brandenberger, Carl Whitworth, Callie Whitworth and Bill Allen also won the national title and Dale Brandenberger was their coach.) Congratulations for a job well done!
