Sheriff’s Report December 29- January 11

Sheriff Hilario Cantu and staff are privileged to bring you this weekly report of happenings in Kimble County.

The information is taken from call slips, which do not always contain the outcome of the call.

Kimble County dispatch received approximately 487 telephone calls and 493 audio transmissions during the week of December 29  through January 4.

12/30-1. Sheriff Cantu, Deputy Noah, Deputy S. Brown and Junction VFD responded to the 7000 block of KC 320 for a structure fire. 

2. Deputy S. Brown responded to 1900 block of Loop 481 for a subject experiencing a severe allergic reaction; subject was transported to Kimble Hospital ER.

3. Chief Deputy Leistikow, Deputy S. Brown and DPS Trooper Morris responded to 100 block of Bierschwale Road for a report of a possible dispute in progress.  

5. DPS Trooper Morris and Junction VFD responded to US 290 and KC 476 for a single motor vehicle accident that caught fire; one subject was transported to Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg. 

6. Deputy T. Brown responded to Yates Crossing on Ranch Road 385 for a report of a possible stranded motorist; call was unfounded. 

12/31-1. Deputy S. Brown and Junction VFD responded to IH-10 434 mile marker for a report of a commeical motor vehicle smoking heavily; the call was unfounded. 

2. Deputy T. Brown responded to the 300 block of Old Segovia Road for a report of theft of services. 

1/1-1. Deputy K. Brown, DPS Trooper Dutchover and Kerville EMS responded to IH-10 mile marker 477 for a multi-motor vehicle accident. It is unknown how many occupants were transported by EMS. 

2. Junction VFD responded to Gillespie County near Ranch Road 385 for mutual aid on a grass fire. 

3. DPS Trooper Morris responded to IH-10 for a report of a possible impaired motorist. 

1/2-No calls 

1/3-1. DPS Trooper Dutchover responded to US 290 for a motor vehicle accident with no injuries reported.

2. Deputy Stewart responded to IH-10 461 mile marker for a report of a commercial motor vehicle throwing sparks. 

3. Junction VFD responded to the 1900 block of Main street for a vehicle fire.

1/4-1. Deputy Stewart responded to the 17000 block of US 377 North for a dispute. 

Kimble County Sheriff’s Office and Jail Administrator Jack Noah processed three persons through the jail on the following charges:

12/31-1. DPS Trooper Morris arrested Davie Mata, 22, of Brownsville for possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. 

1/1-1. DPS Trooper Morris arrested Victor Cuevas-Zuniga, 35, of La Grange for a Karnes County warrant for two counts of theft.

1/2-1. Deputy Noah arrested Mark Rodriguez, 28, of San Antonio for Kimble County warrants for bond forfeiture and tampering or fabricating physical evidence.  

Kimble County dispatch received approximately 585 telephone calls and 503 audio transmissions during the week of January 5  through January 11.

1/5-1. Deputy Stewart and Officer Ward responded to 2000 of Main for a report of an assault. 

2. Junction VFD responded to Ranch Road 1871 for a grass fire.

3. Deputy Noah responded to IH-10 454 mile marker for a motorist assist.

1/6-1. Deputy S. Brown responded to IH-10 452 mile marker for a report of a motor vehicle accident with no injuries reported. 

2. Deputy S. Brown responded to the 20000 block of US Highway 290 for a report of a subject with a possible stroke; subject was transported to Kimble Hospital ER.

1/8-1. Deputy Stewart responded to the Cleo Exit on IH-10 for a report of a suspicious person.

1/9-1. Deputy Stewart responded to the 2000 block of South Laird Road for a subject who reportedly took an illicit substance and was acting erratically; subject was no longer on scene at time of arrival. EMS was canceled. 

1/10-1. Deputy Stewart responded to IH-10 443 mile marker for a motorist assist.

2. Deputy K. Brown responded to the 28800 block of KC 320 for a residential burglar alarm. 

1/11-1. Deputy T. Brown responded to US 83 South for a commercial motor vehicle with an unstable load; call was unfounded. 

2. Deputy T. Brown and Junction VFD response to the 300 block of US 377 South for a structure fire.

Kimble County Sheriff’s Office and Jail Administrator Jack Noah processed two persons through the jail on the following charges:

1/6-1. Texas Ranger Tims arrested Robert Williams, 46, of London for a terroristic threat.

1/11-1. DPS Trooper Dutchover arrested David Gonzales, 39, for driving while intoxicated. 

Kimble County Emergency Medical Services (KCEMS) calls received through the dispatch office during the weeks of December 29 through January 11.

12/29-1. KCEMS responded to the 200 block of South 14th for a subject who fell; subject was not transported by EMS.

12/30-1. KCEMS responded to 1900 block of Loop 481 for a subject experiencing a severe allergic reaction; subject was transported to Kimble Hospital ER.

2. KCEMS responded to the 200 block of South 16th for a subject who fell; one subject was transported to Kimble Hospital ER.

3. KCEMS responded to US 290 and KC 476 for a single motor vehicle accident that caught fire; one subject was transported to Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg. 

1/4-1. KCEMS responded to the 900 block of Oak for a subject with chest pains and trouble breathing; subject was transported to Kimble Hospital ER.

2. KCEMS responded to the 1900 block of Main for a subject with abdominal pains; subject was transported to Kimble Hospital ER.

1/5-1. KCEMS responded to the 200 block of Perez for a unresponsive subject; no transport was made on this call.

1/6-1. KCEMS responded to the 200 block of Perez for a unresponsive subject; subject was transported to Kimble Hospital ER.

2. KCEMS responded to the 20000 block of US Highway 290 for a report of a subject with a possible stroke; subject was transported to Kimble Hospital ER.

1/7-1. KCEMS responded to the 200 block of South 16th for a subject with an unknown medical complication; no transport was made on this call. 

1/8-1. KCEMS responded to the 400 block of Kneeland for a subject having seizures; one subject was transported to Kimble Hospital. 

2. KCEMS responded to the 200 block of South 16th for a subject with an unknown medical complication; one subject was transported to Kimble Hospital. 

3. KCEMS responded to the 200 block of Emory for a subject with an unknown medical complication; subject was transported to Kimble Hospital ER.

4. KCEMS responded to the 500 block of KC 2753 for a subject with chest pains; subject was transported to Kimble Hospital ER.
